At the WASH Alliance Kenya, we are dedicated to improving sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices by focusing on both infrastructure development and capacity building in schools and local communities.
In schools, we design and implement vital WASH facilities, including water supply systems, sanitation stations, and hygiene facilities, using locally sourced materials and technologies. We also integrate WASH education into school curricula, support student-led initiatives, and empower students to lead and advocate for better WASH practices.
For local communities, we provide training on the management and maintenance of WASH facilities, ensuring that solutions are tailored to local needs and are sustainable. Our behavioral change campaigns promote good WASH practices, and we establish monitoring systems to evaluate and improve our interventions. By partnering with government bodies, NGOs, and the private sector, we leverage resources and expertise to enhance our impact.
Through these efforts, we aim to improve WASH infrastructure in schools, boost the knowledge and skills of students and community members, and ensure the long-term sustainability of WASH practices, ultimately contributing to better public health and environmental outcomes.
